It has been a good 4 years and 10 months of existence, starting from an experiment of collecting pinoy sex stories with a touch of "Web 2.0" and social networking. Thank you all for your support for all this time. Unfortunately the website with sexual rated x nature will need to come to an end - it has been a "bad habit to break" ;-) Note that PLCommunity.com will still remain. The "PL" atmosphere will linger there but with a much moderated degree. Take care all."
Both writers and readers alike were surprised when an announcement was made by the moderator of Pinoyliterotica last November 21, 2011. The community driven website for both fictional and actual Filipino sex stories announced that it will retire on December 1, 2011. There was no explanation as to why it came to an immediate end after four successful years in satisfying the various sex fantasies of liberated Filipinos online. Although the website will cease to exist on December 1, its community (forums) still exist where avid followers of various erotic stories and series were disheartened that their favorite website has already retired at its young age of four.
Being a blogger, I for one know that sex sells online. Pinoyliterotica hosts a wide array of erotic stories written in International English, Filipino and Philippine regional dialect. The community is lively as what one can observe in most sex stories (especially sex stories in serial format) that is regularly published on the site. There are also various adult-themed ads that would generate income for its owners. So the angle that there is no longer funds to pay for domain hosting is out of the picture. If ever it was the case, I believe there would be some readers and writers that would go the extra mile to donate for the community to be kept alive and going. Then there is the angle that the site's owner just want to focus on his/her life and is really letting go of the online community, but the forums still exist so that might still be arguable. From one specific line from the official announcement "the website with sexual rated x nature will need to come to an end - it has been a 'bad habit to break'" could possibly mean the the site's owner might have possibly turned a new leaf which generally happens when one gets in touch with his religious "Christian" side. Either that or the site has been swarmed by protests and reports that it was forced to shut down. A similar case happened before but it was a bit extreme when the owner of BoyBastos was incriminated. Although the website does not hold any sex scandals that violate various Philippine laws, we can not be completely sure hat the site is not in the government or police/NBI's watch list. Those are the two best scenarios which may explain as to why the site shut down.
This post might be a little bit of what one might say O.A., but come on guys, where can you find one website that features weekly (if not daily) updates of sex stories mostly written in Filipino, that is not a forum. Well, there is Pantasy.com but Pinoyliterotica exceeded what Pantasya has reached. Thus, this is why the liberated Pinoys who either liked reading their sex stories in complete anonymity or out in the open by actually participating in the comments discussion (if that is what is even what you can call it) will missed PinoyLiterotica.com.
Sex story authors and their titles will definitely find a new home (either on a new or existing forums or websites) but they will never forget that one website, that community called Pinoy Literotica.
